Plot: An exceptionally moving portrayal of the work of sculptor Alberto Giacometti, whose work with wire and clay figures in his Paris studio is shown at two different points in his life: once when his obsession with perfection leads to a terrible dream and later, when his chronic smoking causes his death and he receives a special benediction from his creations.
