H.P. Lovecraft's The Rats In The Walls
Plot: When Thomas Delapore moves from Massachusetts to England in order to begin rebuilding Exham Priory, his ancestral home, he is surprised at the dismayed and often hostile reaction of the local residents. The more he learns about his family's history, however, the more he begins to understand their reaction; and as he and his cats begin to investigate the sounds of the rats in the walls, he discovers just how terrible the true legacy of his ancestors really is
