Plot: A former news cameraman is found dead in mysterious circumstances. The police detective assigned to the case gradually finds himself involved in reading an unfinished novel by the dead man called "The Bearded General", and through it becoming a sort of literary biographer, seeking clues to the man's life and the cause of his death
