Bio: Deborah Smith Howe (August 12, 1946 - June 3, 1978) was an American children's writer and actress. She and her husband James Howe wrote two books, Bunnicula: A Rabbit-Tale of Mystery and Teddy Bear's Scrapbook, but she died of cancer at age 31 before they were published in 1979 and 1980, respectively
